-Don’t wait to act
-Be a risk taker
-Growing pains lead to success
Sometimes we pray for things and expect god to just set something in our laps. That’s when our requests don’t match our actions. There’s a reason it takes something on our behalf to get to the point of success because there are certain skills, attitude makeovers, mental and emotional growth spurts that need to take place to be able to be good stewards of what God is getting ready to bless you with. This is also a time where your faith is strengthened; because God puts things just enough in reach for you to hope for it, but out of reach enough for you to have to rely on Him. So many people want their territory enlarged but what they don’t understand is first they need to prove be a good steward over little.
Determination is defined by coming to point of decision. A lot of times God will put things on our hearts and instead of saying yes lord we wait, and we fight ,we run. But we need to come to the decision that everything that God puts on our hearts He will see through to the end. Sure new territory is nerve wrecking, but you don’t go it alone. Things can look like they may crumble, but you have to believe in God's promises. Doors may slam in your face but you have to realized maybe those doors were commanded shut by your heavenly father and He has a specific divine appointment in order for you, if you hold on a little while longer.
Ruth 3:5-9 “I will do whatever you say,” Ruth answered. 6 So she went down to the threshing floor and did everything her mother-in-law told her to do.
When Boaz had finished eating and drinking and was in good spirits, he went over to lie down at the far end of the grain pile. Ruth approached quietly, uncovered his feet and lay down. 8 In the middle of the night something startled the man; he turned—and there was a woman lying at his feet!
“Who are you?” he asked.“I am your servant Ruth,” she said. “Spread the corner of your garment over me, since you are a guardian-redeemer[a] of our family.”
If you know anything about Ruth in the bible she was a widow and her mother-in-law was looking out for her. She knew that Boaz had been dropping hints left and right that he favored Ruth. She was kind, a hard worker and generous. Naomi saw this and told Ruth to go to him at a certain time and follow certain instruction so that she may be covered by him. Ruth was obedient and we see how her actions lead to her blessing later in the story.
Ruth could have said …are you crazy!? He’ll have me beat, or I’ll look like I’m some foreign chic with thirsty intentions. But no, she risked rejection she risked her reputation she probably risked being slapped up and down, but she trusted Naomi and Naomi knew Gods promise so she boldly did what she was asked to do. Boaz told her hey you have a closer relative than me, but if he will not do what is required, I got you!
When you have determination you will have to be a risk taker. You can’t just be kind of obedient but you need to follow through with completion and be cheerful about it. It’s an honor for God to trust little old us to be used to carry out things for His kingdom. Although we have what we would consider success, in the end the real success is how God uses us to strengthen our relationships and the on lookers who know there’s no way you could have gotten there on your own. Your journey becomes a testimony for others. Your success is never your own. It’s always bigger than you. Never forget that the goals you have, the vision that God has given you, the gifts He's blessed you with, if you are obedient and determined and allow God to work through you, you can have those things, but you must take risks and show that you can fully trust in His promises for your life.
1 samuell 15:22 Says obedience is better than sacrifice. So what will you have, regrets or rewards?
-Honor your vow
-Know his voice allow him to order your steps
-Prepare for the harvest
Once you have come to a point of decision you must stay committed. We’re moving out of the first date jitters and newlywed season into the hard work. This may be the hardest step because that means you have to hang in there until god says you’re ready, and usually it’s when you don’t quite feel ready at all LOL.
In my experience when God places something on your heart it eventually and then you get excited about it and you want to nurture it and keep pushing to make it work… but then frustrations come, your drive diminishes and you have moments when you just want to give up. But you must stay the course.
When I looked up the word commitment one of the definitions was the word promise. And that stuck out to me because sometimes we don’t actually pray for what god has planned for us (sometimes we fail to realize our desire requires a tailor made process that we feel has nothing to do with our request), he simply asks; Hey I got this thing I need you to do so you can be positioned where I need you to be when I need you for this other thing that will lead to the desires of your heart and more if you allow me to use you to get there, do you accept?
The other word that stuck out to me was charge. So god asks us, and if we accept that charge we give our promise that we will pursue accordingly. See when we accept these undertakings, you can interpret it as giving our vow. I like to insert this word because as humans we throw promises around like pennies and commitments seem not to mean much to most people anymore; but the word vow sounds like it holds some weight. I say all this to say, when you commit to something, you vow to stay committed till the end. (Numbers 30:2 2 If a man vows a vow to the Lord, or swears an oath to bind himself by a pledge, he shall not break his word. He shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth)
You are in a covenant. I think if we view the tasks we accept as such we will take them more seriously and when we view them more seriously we do whatever it takes to make things a reality. If you have to make a list of small goals to get to your end goal then do that and pray for discipline. If it means to stop trying to do things on your own and keep falling on your face step back ad remember to trust god to work it out on your behalf.
I’m sure many of you can attest to he has people coming out of the wood works lending a helping hand that you never even reached out to. But with because you have to stay consistent and you have to keep marching even when you get tired or can’t see what’s in front of you. You really have to rely on your partner to do what he said he will do and you have to hold up on your end or it wont work. It’s funny to put it that way because we know god is faithful even when we don’t deserve it.
(Psalm 73:23-24) 3 Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand.24 You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will take me into glory.
We however get caught up in our feelings about when things should happen. It’s not till God says it is, remember that so keep a praise of thankfulness because your success is all for His fame. A friend of mine just gave a sermon on Praising Your Way Through, and in this stage is when you have to learn how to praise. Because liberation so god can advance you, it creates and dividing line between you and the enemy it will produce a shield it will produce a harvest and it will create new ways of making you wealthy and you’ll find yourself in places you never thought you be. I laughed to myself while listening to him because I pictured a our Daddy-God with 50 squadziillion octopus hands working on our behalf and us doing a hold-my-mule shout. all we had to do was listen and follow through with direction all while shouting up a praise he was taking care of the rest. I have a very vivid imagination; can’t you tell?
In the commitment phase you have to trust, you have to have praise, and you have to seek god more and more each day and he will take you from glory to glory according to his will for your life.
Seek ye first the kingdom of god and everything else will fall into place. (Mat 6:33)
Recently I had to praise my way through when it looked like things weren't going to work out. I praised, I listened, I held on to His promises and I prepared with the intent of them coming through. He brought it all to completion!!!
Numbers 23:19 God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?
If He sad it, He will do it! He will do it and in a way you never expected it to happen. That’s when you can say “but God!”
We need to know His voice to be obedient when he tells us to move, to be a risk taker, to honor our vows and allow God to work on our behalf while we do what He asks cheerfully and to completion. 9 times out of 10 if god asked you to do it will shove you out of your comfort zone because it’s meant to grow us and allow us to rely on gods provision every step of the way. But, count it all joy and an honor when God puts something on your heart that you don’t feel capable of. He’ll bring it to completion. That means he’s getting you ready for something greater. He trusts you to be obeiendednt in carrying out the task at hand because He purposed you for it.
Love you all, XOXO
